Lecturer on the Clinical Herbalism degree at Lincoln College.

Medical herbalist, Katie Dobiesz  BSC (Hons) PGCHE MNIMH, works as a herbal practitioner as well as being a clinic supervisor and senior lecturer on the Clinical Herbalism degree at Lincoln College.

Katie graduated in Herbal Medicine from Westminster University in 2002. She started practising as a herbalist in London then moved up to Lincolnshire in 2007 to teach. Katie is now a senior lecturer at Lincoln College and teaches herbal medicine and nutrition on the degree programme.

Katie also has a busy practice and sees a wide range of patients and is never daunted by a new challenging condition, recognising that as a herbalist, she treats people and not diseases.

Katie has been very successful with fertility issues over the years, helping women sail through the menopause and also helping men to feel more comfortable with the andropause.

"It's a wonderful feeling seeing these students train for three years and then graduate and go out and make a success in their chosen career. I feel fortunate to meet up with some of these herbalists that I have taught and hear about how they take herbal medicine to the wider community.

"Herbal Medicine is amazing and the future is bright for herbalists. More and more people are turning to a healthier way of living and this can be the only way forward to become a healthier nation. As a Medical Herbalist, I feel I have a debt to society to teach them how to be healthier and lead a more natural life. I feel blessed and want to share my knowledge when I can."
