The Lincoln College Annual Awards ceremony recognises student success across the college community.

Taking home one of the coveted awards was recent BSc (Hons) Acupuncture graduate, Richard Bills, who was recognised with the Entrepreneurial Achievement Award. His nomination read:

Richard has created a fantastic business providing holistic health solutions.

He launched his firm, Balance Holistic Health, in 2016 providing a mobile sports massage service to people in their own homes. As time went, he rented rooms in clinics and gyms to provide flexibility to clients.

During this time, Richard decided to begin a degree in acupuncture at Lincoln College with the aim of enhancing his business through widening his skill set.

Not only did Richard study throughout the global pandemic, but he also continued to grow his business and in 2021, he took a leap, moving his business to one central location and running his own private practice.

Richard graduated this year with a first class honours degree in acupuncture, and his business is going from strength to strength.

Lincoln College Principal and CEO, Mark Locking, said: “A huge congratulations to all of our student and apprentice winners and thank you to the families and friends who have supported them to succeed.

“There were some truly humbling stories and we are all so proud of the achievements of our students."
