Lincoln College University Centre Recognised for Teaching Excellence in NSS 2025

By Lincoln College

We’re pleased to announce the 2025 National Student Survey (NSS) results, with Lincoln College University Centre performing strongly once again in three key areas.

Managed by the Office for Students (OfS) and conducted by Ipsos, the NSS provides students with a platform to share their honest feedback about their educational experience.

Results published in July 2025 show that Lincoln College University Centre has once again had impressive engagement, with 84.48% of final-year students completing the survey – exceeding the overall sector average of 71.5%.

Positivity measures have continued to stay high in three key areas and show impressive scores - even outperforming some benchmarks.

A positivity score (the proportion of respondents who gave a positive answer) of 95.9% was received in the ‘teaching on my course’ category, exceeding both benchmark and sector averages above 7%.

High positivity scores were also achieved for ‘academic support’ (93.9%) and ‘learning opportunities’ (88.2%), again exceeding benchmark and sector averages.

Communication of information relating to mental wellbeing support services achieved a positivity score of 81.3%, with freedom to express ideas, opinions and beliefs achieving 91.5%, the latter being above benchmark.

Melanie Watson, Assistant Principal - Higher Education at Lincoln College University Centre, said: "I am pleased to see we’ve had some strong NSS feedback again this year.

"At Lincoln College University Centre, we always put the students at the heart of everything we do and believe this is reflected in this year’s NSS results.

"I’d like to express my thanks to the students for completing the survey and also for the commitment they show in helping to develop the student experience at Lincoln College University Centre, as well as to the staff for their hard work again throughout the academic year."
